One Mentos commercial from 1996 was never aired as it was deemed offensive. It showed a young woman driving a car only to meet up with a funeral procession at an intersection. She seems flustered, so she eats a Mentos and gets an idea: she turns on her hazard lights and pulls out so that she may join the line of cars heading to the cemetery. A nearby man walking his dog smiles with approval at the driver's clever ruse.
